Do you want to elevate your web design game?

Elementor, the leading website designer platform, has developed an exciting array of features to transform how you build websites. The latest update helps web professionals and enthusiasts streamline their design and development process and build websites faster.

Are you curious about what’s in the updated Elementor

Here, we take a close look at how updated features will help you improve your website’s designs and integrations.

So, let’s get the ball rolling.

Key Elementor Features Released in April – May 2024

1. Loop Grid Widget Security

With this update, Elementor aims to enhance the code security within the widget to provide a secure environment for all users who manage dynamic content.

2. License Expiry Issue Resolved

You may have faced a situation where your site’s license expires, and the content suddenly disappears.

But now, you don’t have to worry about this as with the latest update, even if your site’s license has expired, your content will be visible to the target audience.

3. Excerpt Length Settings Issue Resolved

Experts are basically short summaries or snippets of content that provide a preview of the entire piece or page. These are used for blog listings, archive pages, search results, and related posts.

Previously, whenever someone tried to use language other than English in the excerpt length, it wasn’t getting showcased properly.

But wait! Things have changed NOW!

It doesn’t matter which language you use to display an expert; the length looks proper, and they are shown effectively.

4. Special Characters Display Resolved

Earlier, whenever you included special characters in the posts, they were not displayed properly. These widgets behaved similarly to the excerpt widget.

Just a month later, the team at Elementor resolved the issue, and now all the special characters are displayed as needed.

5. Loop Taxonomy Query

This new functionality enables you to showcase the categories and tags directly within Loop Grids and Carousels, which is a boost for sites that utilize dynamic content.

Optimized Multiple Widget

Web designers faced issues in effectively displaying various things on pages and posts. The Elementor team has optimized many widgets to improve visibility and offer a better user experience.

Let’s look at them in detail.

Hotspot Widget: This widget is mainly used to create interactive images that showcase essential information, enhance engagement, and improve conversions on your site. It has recently received a massive update and will not render without images on the page.

Hence, your website will look clear and compelling.

Blockquote Widget

The latest update in the Blockquote widget lets you skip all the unnecessary markup wherever there is no content. By removing all the unnecessary code, you can have a more efficient website.

The website offers optimum performance without any extra overload.

Template Widget

The template widget bypasses all the additional programming steps when no template is selected.

It means that there will be fewer elements on your site, and it will load effortlessly.

Code Highlight widget

This widget hasn’t received a major update, but it is crucial. The newest update removes all the extra markup if there is no content, eventually helping your site load quickly.

7. Notes Feature

The notes feature has been introduced in the latest Elementor version. With this feature, you can store all the annotations and updates of your site without much hindrance. This feature works similarly to a note-taking app on your phone or sticky notes present on the PC.

So, anytime you want to take notes, schedule reminders, or comment on others’ documents, Notes makes it possible.

8. Portfolio Widget Accessibility

Due to updates in the portfolio widget, you can make your site more intuitive, interactive, and user-friendly so that every visitor can view all the portfolios on the website in a simple yet effective manner.

9. Author Widget Accessibility

The latest update has enhanced the ALT text of all the profile pictures in the Author Widget, making the widget highly accessible for visually impaired users.

10. Author Avatar Image ALT Text

The post info widget lets you improve the ALT Text for Author Avatar images. Besides this, screen readers are responsible for making your site even more accessible and SEO-friendly.

11. CSS Logical Properties

The recent update of Elementor now comprises the CSS logical properties.

With this, you can now build responsive layouts for your websites in multiple languages as needed. Moreover, you can integrate the CSS logical properties in the icon position in forms, posts, and menu cart widgets.

12. Fixed Various Bugs

The menu cart widget did not behave as expected whenever a user hovered or moved the mouse over it. However, with the latest version, the WooCommerce menu cart widget works smoothly and effectively, offering a consistent user experience.

Apart from this, the compatibility issue in the My Account widget and various other third-party plugins has been fixed. It simply means that the users can access your site effortlessly.
