Weekly WordPress News and Updates: NASA Revamped their Website on WordPress, Replacing Drupal!
NASA has announced the launch of its new flagship website, nasa.gov, which is powered by WordPress, the world’s most popular open source CMS. The new website replaces the previous one that was built on Drupal, and offers a modernized design, improved performance, and enhanced accessibility. The project was led by Lone Rock Point, a WordPress.com VIP Gold Agency Partner, and involved a year of UX design and an evaluation of various enterprise CMS platforms. NASA chose WordPress for its large community, plugin ecosystem, and ease of use for content authors. The new website showcases the innovation and discoveries that have defined the agency for more than 65 years.
