Xtemos Space Theme Review (2023): A One-Stop Shop for Premium Quality Responsive Themes

Things get even better once you start to set up your Xtemos space theme for yourself.

After choosing your preferred package, you simply go through the catalog of themes, each with mobile-optimized responsive layouts, attractive designs, and a wealth of features designed to help deliver the best possible user experience.

For the sake of this review, I went with the initial Antares theme for eCommerce stores, simply because it not only looks the part but will give us much more features to try out than, say, a theme for your standard brochure site.

With your theme downloaded, you can then upload it in the usual way, either via good old-fashioned FTP or by going to Appearance – Themes – Add New from your WordPress dashboard.

Either way, all it takes to set up is to click Activate once your theme is installed, and this will take you straight to the Setup Wizard, where you can begin to customize your theme options.

Child Theme

After entering your activation key, your first option is to install the child theme for your preferred theme.

Though this isn’t essential, it is a useful feature, which means you can make any source code changes you want to make to the child theme. That way, any updates to the parent theme won’t overwrite your changes and ruin your hard work.

Plugins

Up next, you’ll be asked to install and activate plugins for your website. Since I’m building an eCommerce store with the Antares theme, the WooCommerce plugin is essential, as is the Elementor page builder which is used to design and build the site.

While not essential, Slider Revolution, Contact Form 7 and Mailchimp will all prove invaluable in building and growing a successful business, so I go ahead and install those too, but that’s really all there is to it. Unlike other themes, this one doesn’t require a whole host of plugins to operate, meaning you can keep your WordPress installation light and thus maintain better site performance.

Content Import

If you’re anything like me and find yourself frustrated when a new theme looks nothing like it did in the preview, you’ll love the dummy content import option here.

As the name implies, this loads dummy content onto your website, which makes it look just like the demo version and thus makes the whole thing much easier to configure and customize.

The best thing here is that this content can be imported with a single click of a button.

With that done, you’ll be good to go with a site that looks like this:

Ease of Use

The whole process of using the setup wizard to create our site took us no more than a minute or two, and while we’ve certainly seen faster set-ups in our time, this was by no means slow.

Once done, editing your website so that it looks just the way you want it to is no more difficult than opening up a page, clicking “Edit With Elementor,” and using the popular Elementor page builder to drag, drop, chop, and change to your heart’s content.

As any experienced Elementor user will tell you, this is by far and away one of the easiest methods of creating great-looking, professional layouts without needing to know a single line of code or doing anything more complicated than clicking on a website element and following the on-screen instructions.

In terms of ease of use, then, Xtemos Space receives top marks.
