Vertoh Event Theme Features
As Showthemes specialize in building themes to help event professionals, you would expect them to know exactly what features to include to make the websites powered by their themes a success and their releases so far have shown this to be true.
Vertoh is no exception here and this theme is packed with some great features, both in terms of general theme functionality and for building an events website with WordPress.
As an attractive design is just as important as features when it comes to building a website to promote your next event, Showthemes have put a lot of effort into creating a professional and visually appealing design for this theme.
Out of the box you get four header options to choose from, as well as 15 colour combinations to ensure you get the perfect look for your event. This can all be achieved without the need to customize any code yourself, or hire a developer to make those final adjustments.
As well as the stunning header options, the homepage of any website built using this theme can be packed with an array of useful widgets, all of which are entirely optional. These items include call to action buttons to sell more tickets, time and location information, featured speaker profiles, session information, exhibitor logos, ticket options, and a whole lot more.

As the homepage layout can be totally customized with ease, you can repeat certain elements, such as the book ticket buttons, and build a homepage for your event that matches your own individual needs and requirements.
Other event-related features include countdown timers, support for multiple ticket options, and integration with leading event ticketing and registration services such as Eventbrite, Event Espresso, and Xing Events. The theme also seamlessly integrates with the free WooCommerce ecommerce plugin, allowing you to sell tickets yourself and collect payments with PayPal.
While the other themes so far from Showthemes have had a strong focus on event-related features, Vertoh goes a step further and also incorporates a lot of features and functionality that anyone creating a website to promote an exhibition or tradeshow will appreciate.
These exhibition-focused features include attractive exhibitor profiles that your exhibitors can use to publish their details and increase awareness of their presence with attendees, before the event takes place.
Visitors to the website, including tradeshow attendees can search those profiles to find out exactly who will be exhibiting at the event, helping to generate more interest in your show.
When it comes to more general WordPress theme features, Vertoh doesn’t disappoint here either. With a fully responsive design for mobile users to enjoy before and during your event, social media feed integration, eight language translations, Google Maps integrations, and blog post templates to name but a few, you won’t be missing out on anything that is found in the best non-event specific WordPress themes,
Whether you want to wow visitors in order to sell more tickets, or impress potential exhibitors to secure more presentations and sponsors, Vertoh certainly has all the features you need. To view the full list and see some of them in action, head over to the Vertoh features list.
Building an Events Website with Vertoh
A stunning design and great feature list doesn’t mean much if the product is too difficult to use. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at how easy it is to setup the Vertoh theme in order to build an events website with WordPress.
Vertoh is uploaded and activated just like a regular WordPress theme. Once you’ve done so, a number of new custom post types are added to your site, including items for storing information about speakers, sessions, exhibitors, points of interest, and sponsors.
Many of these custom post types have their own taxonomies for organizing that content more effectively. This all works really well and makes it easy to keep the different components of your event separate from each other, and present them in different ways.
When it comes to customizing the look and feel of your website, Vertoh uses a custom theme options control panel. Through the control panel you can upload logos, enter event details, add links to your social media profiles, and customize lots of other attributes of the theme.
Vertoh doesn’t make much use of the WordPress Customizer tool. However you can still make lots of changes to the appearance of your website through the theme options control panel.
Vertoh also includes a good selection of custom widgets. These can be used to display a range of information about your event in the sidebar and footer widget areas of your website, depending on how you’ve configured the theme.
Once you’ve set up the theme, it’s simply a case of using the custom post types to enter all the relevant details about your event in order to populate your new website with data.
When it comes to pricing, Vertoh is available on two pricing plans:
- Vertoh theme only: $89
- Vertoh theme plus one year of support: $119
Both options include written and video tutorials, FAQs, updates and bug fixes for a year. So even if you choose the option without access to the ticket based support portal, you won’t be left to your own devices when it comes to using this theme.
You can also make a great saving when purchasing all the themes from Showthemes in one premium event package.
Vertoh certainly looks the part and will do a great job of promoting your next event. While this theme has been built specifically for supporting a conference or exhibition, there is no reason why you couldn’t use it for a range other types of events such as trade shows, sporting occasions, meetings, or workshops.
If you need to create a website to help sell more tickets for an event, while also providing lots of useful information for attendees, all in an easy to navigate format, then Vertoh is the theme you’ve been looking for.
