Infographic: Responsive Web Design vs Server-Side Solutions
BraveNewCode, the people behind the popular WPtouch – free mobile plugin for WordPress, got in touch with me yesterday with this pretty cool infographic which shows talks about the differences between using a responsive theme and using a server-side solution to serve a different site to mobile users.

What do you do yourself Oliver? Responsive or plugin?
Can you use both at the same time?
At the moment we offer a native app for iPhone users.
For the next version of WPLift which I’m currently working on I will be going responsive – I think as long as the site isn’t overly heavy in size then responsive is ok.
Good points! You might be interested to know that it is possible to use both a server-side solution plugin and a responsive template at the same time. We’ve recently featured a few examples of sites that use this approach in our Tips Central posts: https://www.bravenewcode.com/category/tips-central/
