Weekly WordPress News: Mullenweg Identifies GoDaddy as “existential threat” to WordPress

In a series of tweets, WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg called GoDaddy a ”parasitic company” and ”an existential threat to WordPress’ future.”  Sarah Gooding covers the story in this WPTavern post.

Beyond that, the WordPress Themes team released a plugin that helps create block themes and child themes within the admin.
