PT Engine Features

One of the key features of PT Engine is that it gives you access to heatmap tracking. This service shows you exactly where your visitors are clicking on your web pages. Short of sitting behind your visitors and watching over their shoulder, this is one of the best ways to understand how your visitors are interacting with your website and its design.

Heatmaps are so valuable as they can quickly show you which links on your website are getting the most attention. You can then optimize those links to point to your most important pages, such as product listings, or other goal-related content.

Furthermore, after activating heatmap analytics on a website, it’s not uncommon to learn that your visitors are clicking on areas of the pages that aren’t actual links. Something in your website’s design might look like a link – whether that’s some text or an image – and your visitors are clicking on it, with the expectation of being taken somewhere else.

By being unaware of this, and failing to rectify the situation, you are not only missing out on clicks from your visitors, but you could also be frustrating them by not meeting their expectations. If a user takes the time to click on what they think is a link, and nothing happens, the experience probably won’t be a positive one for them.

PT Engine Sources

The PT Engine heatmaps go beyond just monitoring user clicks. They also track user attention levels. This can tell you how what percentage of your pages your visitors are viewing, and what portion of your visitors are scrolling down the page.

The reports can also be segmented by device. This allows you to view how different users on different devices, such as smartphones and tablets, are interacting with your content. This gives you an easy way to see how well your website is optimized for mobile and desktop devices.

PT Engine Devices

With PT Engine, you can also set up custom goal tracking to establish which percentage of your visitors complete your chosen goals. This could include clicking on a certain link, watching a video, or downloading a file.

As all the tracking data and results from PT Engine are accessible in real time, you can make changes to your website and its content and start getting user feedback instantly. This gives you the ability to see what effect your optimization efforts are having, in real time.

PT Engine Data Sources

In addition to the above features, you also get access to more traditional user analytics reports. This covers the geographical location of the visitors, the most popular pages, traffic sources, and much more.

  1. It is as good as statscounter plugin. But looks nice and can be given a shot.

  2. Informative article. I have to admit that I have been searching for this information for a long time. Reading this wonderful article I have known many important principles. As I see all your articles are informative and full of valuable information so I will definitely bookmark your website and wait for more such great posts like this one. Thanks for sharing.

  3. It is better than the data offered by analytics or is more accurate?
For example in analytics, I have traffic called ‘not set’ regarding the country, and many keywords that are unknown.
    PT engine can see these?
