Hello, I bought your Instagram plugin and think the options are very nice. I’m just having trouble getting Elementor to work and unfortunately the video couldn’t help me.
Can you please explain to me in the simplest way how I can get it to work?
Connected to Instagram is ready and I have the ID, I just don’t understand the access token and no matter what I enter it doesn’t work.

Tried to get an Instagram Access Token with this page: https://services.chrisriversdesign.com/how-to-instagram-graph-api-token/ – when I arrive at the instagram accounts to choose from, I don’t see the account I want to use this plugin with.
Have any idea? Can you please help?

When I want to use the Token generator, it does not display the instagram account. Do I need to assign it to a facebook page?
So far there is no facebook page.

Thanks for reaching out. I was away on vacation but will be happy to assist you now. Yes, as a requirement from the Instagram team, you need to have a facebook page linked to that instagram account in order to use the API. It can be a hidden page if you’d like but it’s just a checkbox to make sure you’re real.

The user that you’ve authenticated with does not have proper permissions to any Instagram business or creator accounts. Please get proper access from your client or email our support team at xxx to request additional information.

Earlier today when I clicked “Live Preview” it didn’t work (iPad and computer). It is working again now.

seriously? You can’t just use the standard plugin installer for wordpress? It’s not hard to set up your plugin to do this. very disappointing.
Hi, I’ll be happy to help you! Yes, you can use the standard plugin for wordpress. Simply open the envato package and use the wordpress plugin->instagram-journal directory to install as all plugins.

I purchased this plugin assuming it would work for any IG account, but it seems it will only work for business accounts. Is that accurate? The IG account I would like to use this plugin with is not a business account and I am not looking to change it over. Please advise on what if anything can be done. Thanks.

Hi there, as I mentioned in the email thread, this plugin leverages the Instagram Graph API. To have full access to all of the features of the API, you will need to switch over to a business account. It’s merely a checkbox in your settings that enables these features.

Hi, I have a problem with correct connection between Instagram_journal plugin and instagram account. I have generated User ID and Access Token (https://smashballoon.com/instagram-feed/token/). However, after entering them in the configuration and generating a shortcode using the User ID, I keep getting the info “A 400 error has occured attempting to fetch your photos. Please check your credentials and try again.”
What can I do about this?

But to answer your questions, yes the feed pulls in hashtags and comments if they exist. The test user that I’m presenting in my portfolio simply doesn’t have any. Let me know if you decide to purchase and I’ll be happy to help you get started.
