I’m pleased to share our latest free theme release with WPLift readers, CleanPort went live in the WordPress directory today. CleanPort is one of our best selling themes at ThemeFurnace so it’s good to see it can now be used be even more people. We had to re-write quite a bit of the theme as the WordPress directory doesnt allow custom post types which we used for the portfolio and slider in the commercial version – the look of the theme is exactly the same but instead of post types for these, you can just dedicated a normal blog category for these and the theme will display them the same.
The theme is designed in a flat style with 2 choices for the homepage – you can use it as a regular blogging theme or you can use it as a business style theme with homepage slider, 2 feature widgets areas handled by Fontawesome for the icons, portfolio items which enlarge on hover, grid based blog post display and it also support for the testimonials plugin.
CleanPort uses the ThemeCustomizer to handle all aspects of theme options – you can upload a logo for the header and footer, choose the number of homepage items ( portfolio and blog posts ), configure the homepage slider, change the footer text, change background color and background image.
It uses custom widgets so you can add featured icons to the homepage in two areas.
How they display on front-end :
We offer all our themes on ThemeFurnace for a club membership price of just $49, this includes access to all 13 themes + any future themes. The pro version of CleanPort includes a few extra features :
- Complete Color Options so you can customize to fit your brand
- Google Fonts – Choose from any font in the Google library
- Custom Widgets – Social Media, Dribbble, Flickr, Advertising and More
- Full Support via our Forums
This is one of my favourite themes we offer at ThemeFurnace so I’m glad there is now a free version available, we have been working to bring more of our themes out with free versions – we have one more pending at the moment and will be submitting more in October. Let me know if you use it for anything, it’s always good to see our themes out in the wild :)
