Trying to get your mind around the new pricing for Elementor Pro?
On February 9th, 2021, Elementor announced huge changes to the pricing for the premium version, Elementor Pro. These prices are set to go into effect in one month – on March 9th, 2021.
If you’re already a paying Elementor Pro user, nothing changes for you. But if you’ve been on the fence about Elementor Pro, that means you might be looking at a huge new bill – if you don’t act fast.
If you act quickly to purchase Elementor Pro, you can lock in the current (and comparatively low) Elementor Pro prices for the life of your license.
In this post, I’m going to share everything that you need to know about Elementor Pro’s new pricing, whether you’re an existing Elementor Pro customer or someone who hasn’t purchased Elementor Pro yet but is thinking about it.
Make sure to read on because there are big changes and important deadlines to pay attention to.
Elementor Pro Pricing Change Explained
Let’s kick things off by explaining the actual price changes, in case you aren’t familiar with Elementor Pro’s current pricing.
Currently, Elementor Pro’s soon-to-be old prices are divided into three plans, all of which have the exact same features. The only difference is the number of sites that you can use Elementor Pro on:
- Personal – $49 for a single website.
- Plus – $99 for up to three websites.
- Expert – $199 for up to 1,000 websites.
On March 9th, 2021, Elementor Pro’s new pricing will go into effect. The new plans are divided into five different plans and come with some big price increases, along with some new features that are only available on certain plans:
Article Continues Below
- Essential (formerly Personal) – $49 for a single website. It’s the exact same, excluding the name change.
- Advanced (formerly Plus) – $99 for up to three websites. It’s the exact same, excluding the name change.
- Expert – $199 for up to 25 websites. This is the big change – you no longer get 1,000 sites on this license. However, you will get access to 100+ website kits.
- Studio – $499 for up to 100 websites and VIP support. More on the new support in a second.
- Agency – $999 for up to 1,000 websites and VIP support
That is, now there will be more differences than just the number of sites you can use Elementor Pro on:
So – if you were interested in the current Personal or Plus plans, nothing will change for you.
However, if you were interested in the 1,000 website plan, it looks like a tough pill to swallow at first glance. While currently, you can pay $199 for up to 1,000 sites, the new plan will have you paying $999. But don’t worry – you will not have to pay this new price if you act quickly (or if you’re already an Elementor Pro customer). I’ll explain this later – for now I want to keep discussing the new features.
What’s New on the Studio and Agency Plans?
As I mentioned, there are now some feature differences in the plans.
The cheapest two plans – Essential and Advanced – don’t get any new features.
However, the new $199 Expert plan will get you access to 100+ website kits, which is a huge expansion of Elementor Pro’s current website kit library (which is only around ~17). If you’re not familiar, website kits are themed sets of templates all based around the same website.
This also means that not all Elementor Pro users will get access to all the templates, which is currently how it works. The Essential and Advanced plans will still get access to all of the current templates – they just won’t have access to the new website kits.
Second, the new Expert, Studio, and Advanced plans will get you a profile listing in Elementor’s Experts Network.
However, the biggest change is a new VIP live chat support system for Studio and Agency customers.
Currently, Elementor Pro only offers email/ticket support with a one day average response time. Now, there will be a new VIP support offering that offers live chat support with 30-minute average response times.
Obviously, this is a huge upgrade that gets you a lot more real-time help with any issues that you encounter.
What’s more, you’ll get support for multiple team members, which is great if you have an agency. The Studio plan allows up to five members for support while the Agency plan offers up to ten.
Overall, I would say that, while the new templates and Experts Network profile are nice, the new live chat support is the biggest upgrade.
Existing Elementor Pro Customers – Nothing Changes!
If you’re currently a paying Elementor Pro customer on the current Expert plan that allows 1,000 websites for $199 per year, you’re probably freaking out right now. You don’t need to.
These pricing changes only affect new licenses. If you’re a current customer, you are grandfathered into the current prices as long as you keep your license active.
For example, if your current Expert plan renews on April 1st 2021, you’re still only going to pay $199 for your 1,000 websites because you are grandfathered into the current pricing structure.
The key here, however, is that you must keep your license active. If you’re currently on the Pro plan and let your license expire, you will no longer be able to access the grandfathered prices. Instead, you would need to purchase a new license at the higher prices.
To sum up – if you’re a current Elementor Pro customer on the 1,000 website Expert plan, nothing will change for you and you will continue to renew at your current pricing and website limit. However, make absolutely sure to not let your license lapse, as you’ll only be grandfathered in for as long as you keep your license active.
Elementor Pro lets you enable auto-renewal, which should ensure that you don’t accidentally forget to renew and lose your grandfathered prices.
How to Lock in the Cheap Elementor Pro Prices Even If You Haven’t Purchased Yet
Ok, so if you’re an existing Elementor Pro customer, you can breathe easy because nothing is going to change for you.
However, if you haven’t made your purchase of the current 1,000 site Expert plan, you might be freaking out because you missed out on what now looks like the deal of a lifetime.
I mean, you could’ve paid just $199 for 1,000 websites, but now you’re going to have to pay $999 – that’s a huge difference.
Aha – there’s another option here.
Elementor Pro’s new prices don’t go into effect until March 9th, 2021. That means you still have until then to purchase or upgrade to the current Expert plan to get grandfathered into the $199/1,000 website limits.
To make that clear – if you purchase the Elementor Pro Expert license before March 9th, 2021, you will get grandfathered into the current prices and avoid the price increase.
So – if you’ve been at all on the fence about the Elementor Pro Expert plan, I highly recommend making the purchase soon as you will let yourself save a huge amount of money.
How to Get a Special Deal on the Studio and Agency Plans
If you’re currently a paying Elementor Pro customer on the Expert plan, Elementor also has a special deal to entice you to upgrade to one of the new plans to get access to the VIP support and other goodies.
If you upgrade from the current Expert plan to the new Agency plan between March 9th 2021 to June 9th 2021, you will get 50% off the Agency plan for the life of your active subscription.
That means you would pay just $500 per year rather than $999. The key thing here is that you’ll get this discount for life and all subsequent renewals (as long as you keep your license active).
In a nutshell, this would have you paying an extra ~$300 per year to access the new website kits, VIP chat support, and get an Experts Network profile.
Is that worth it? Well, it depends on how much you value the live chat support, but it’s definitely an interesting deal to consider if you want that VIP chat line.
