Are you familiar with that feeling of despair that slowly settles in after hours of staring at the words you’ve just written – not sure what is wrong but knowing it isn’t quite right? Having a second opinion is always great, but when other people aren’t handy to edit your work, here is a trusty tool to step in and objectively evaluate your writing.

Pro Writing Aid is a free WordPress plugin intended to help bloggers, novelists and authors get their writing to that next level of greatness. This plugin quickly edits your work according to overused words, cliches, sentence length variation and so much more! Using this plugin cuts down on time spent editing and clearly suggests changes and ways to improve your work. Installing “Pro Writing Aid”

In order to install Pro Writing Aid, head over to the Pro Writing Aid plugin page at wordpress.org by clicking here. Download version 1.1 and you’ll notice a zip folder has downloaded. Head over to your WordPress admin and go to plugins, then add new and upload. Select the previously downloaded zip and install.


After a few seconds, Pro Writing Aid will be installed. Then click to activate this plugin.

Upon activation, you’ll see that Pro Writing Aid is added to your list of plugins and ready to be used.

Configuring “Pro Writing Aid”

When writing your post, you’ll see that a new button has been added to the post page. It has a green check mark and PWA above it. Once you’re done writing, click that button to see your results. Keep in mind that it needs at least 200 words to analyze.

Implementing “Pro Writing Aid”

Once you’ve gotten to a place where you are ready for Pro Writing Feedback, click that button and you’ll be redirected to another page. Here you’ll see an Analysis Summary of your post with such categories as: Overused Words Report, Cliches & Redundancies Report, Sentence Length Variation, Diction Report, Vague & Abstract Words Report, Complex Words Report, Sticky Sentences Report, Alliteration Analysis and Consistency Report.

Pro Writing Aid Feedback

In order to get the details for their critiques, click through the bar on the left. With each category, they highlight areas that are suggested to be adjusted in order to improve your writing. Now you can go back and make adjustments as you please until you feel ready to publish.

Pro Writing Aid is an incredibly useful tool to quickly edited your writing and bring your work to the next level. Unlike other similar plugins, Pro Writing Aid is free and very simple to use.
