Time for an update to “A Better Planet” which is my curated version of the Planet WordPress feed. I have received a few submissions over the last few weeks so I thought it’s time to have clean out on the master feed. Some dead sites ( including my personal blog! ) have been removed and newer websites have been added for some great new sources.

If you haven’t heard of A Better Planet before, its basically a mashup feed of fresh and relevant WordPress news sources – it contains the official WordPress feeds, some feeds from individual bloggers and a lot of blogs about WordPress which are updated frequently. If a blog dies off then it is removed from the site.

Currently there are no feeds from commercial theme or plugin providers but I wondered if that should change ? Would you be interested in news from these companies or should it stay focused on blogs about WordPress only?

Submissions are still welcome and encouraged via our contact form, so get in touch if you would like to submit your site for consideration.

Get the Feed

You can access the feed in 3 ways: by adding the plugin to your site it will add a dashboard widget so the news is there for you each time you login to WordPress, you can grab the master feed directly or you can follow on twitter.

It would be used a lot by freelance web designers!

    Thanks for sharing nice post.

I would love to see some options included in the plugin.
    a) Allow users to enable or disable feeds
    b) allow users to choose how many news items they wish to see at a time
