In this section, all display advertising at the moment is handled through BuySellAds. For the affiliate income, there were 32 different sources linked through various posts. If you want to know more about how I monetize the site & which plugins I use, see the article I wrote about affiliate links.
- Display Advertising: $240
- Affiliate Income: $2893.24
- Total Income: $3133.24 (+23.23)
Conclusion
This month was amazing traffic-wise we cracked the 100k visitors with an extra 26k visitors to the site and an extra 50k page views – thats great growth. We were featured on a number of high profile blogs last month, such as WPTavern (twice), Weblog Tools Collection, Web Designer Depot + many other blogs so thankyou to everyone who linked to us. I think being featured on these blogs gave us a temporary boost in the search engines which would account for our extra traffic. It seems to be dieing down now though, or could be hangover from Thanksgiving where traffic was down as usual – I’ll find out in the next month.
Income showed a slight increase, again I added more affiliate sources with the record standing at 32 for last month. Display advertising went up slightly, adverts in the sidebar now cost $40 per month which I think is a great deal for advertisers as our traffic is increasing all the time. I will leave them at that price for another month and then place a $10 increase if our traffic continues to go up.
How did your sites do last month ? Did Thanksgiving affect you? – Let us know in the comments …

Another barnstormer of a month well done, mine is comparatively low and I mean looooow. But good to see your doing well its an inspiration for others! (me included)
Cheers mate,
Keep it up and good luck with your site!
This is very impressive. I recently started following blogs on WordPress added you to my WP list on twitter. One thing I don’t understand is that why would you share the income?
Thanks,
I wasn’t sure whether to or not but I decided for it as its one of the metrics I use to guage growth of the site and I like it when other sites show transparency.
Hi Oli,
Congratulations on the another successful month. It is really great – you’re sharing the income reports. Keep up the rocking work, buddy.

Thanks Devesh :)
Good info. Your site has some awesome resources for us. Your bounce rate is quite high though. you should find ways to keep readers around longer. For example, You can add a “Related Articles” widget at the bottom of each article.
Good luck.
Yeah, cheers Frank.
I have a redesign Ive been working on so hopefully it should lower the bounce rate – Im including related posts as you suggest.
Hey, coungratulations about your earning in november. It’s nice to read every post here. Keep going Wplift, i have learned much of things here about wordpress.
Tell me how you reach this traffic? Social Media or Seo
The majority of our traffic is search engine referrals, after that its referring websites and then social media.
Great stats! Quite impressed to see such amazing earnings from affiliates. Congratulations! Keep up the great job you inspire us all! Thanks
