Im pleased to announce the release of my second free WordPress theme: Photum is an HTML5 responsive theme for a Photographers portfolio. I released this theme yesterday on my Photography Blog.
Technical Details
As I said, the theme is responsive using some javascript – the main portfolio page re-arranges depending on your browser size. The portfolio is handled by custom post types and there are extra taxonomies for the location of the photo and equipment used which can be set by the user. This information is displayed as an overlay on the individual photo pages.
The theme has a simple theme options panel which allows you to upload a logo and save tracking code.

The theme has two widget areas, the sidebar and the blog pages and uses the WordPress custom menu builder.
Full instructions to use the theme are online here.

Excellent Theme Oli. Looking forward to using it and playing with it :)
Cool, thanks :)
nice theme. However I think the information box makes it difficult to see the whole image on the single image page…
Its a fair comment – its easy enough to hide or alter the opacity of that box if required.
very very nice job ;D
Thanks a lot Francesco :)
It’s beautiful theme…
Oli Amazing Theme, I like it a lot….Its nice and clean with a great layout nice work,
Marios
Thanks Marios :)
Hi I like your theme, but are interested if you can get the hover effect used on the thumbnails in to another theme by using some plugin or regular code?
Yes, its done with javascript – you could also do it with CSS easing, see http://matthewlein.com/ceaser/
Best is to download the theme and have a look at the source code.
Thanks will help me a lot. Keep on with your good work. :)
Cool theme, but…I have a problem. No posts. Simply – posts are not shown on my homepage. Can’t get it to work…
I’ve had an error, now it’s working and it’s really good…Thanks for that!
Oli, Amazing theme !
But I’ve an error PHP :
Parse error: parse error in C:wampwwwmywordpresswp-contentthemesPhotumloop.php on line 147
And this line appeared too :
true, "label" => "Locations", "singular_label" => "Location", "rewrite" => true)); ?> true, "label" => "Equipments Used", "singular_label" => "Equipment Used", "rewrite" => true)); ?>
Do you have any solutions ?
Thank you.
Very beautiful theme…
Hmm… First error : line 147.
We must convert the file loop.php in DOS (line ending : CRLF).
But the other bug…
Really great theme, you’re helping lots of artists, i was wondering though, how to add those tumbnail “more images” at the bottom of your posts?
Hello Oli Dale,
It’s a great theme indeed. I would like to know, how can i have the pagination at home page? And Instead of using custom post types, how can i make the blog display on home page ? Please kindly support. Thank you.
not compatible with wordpress 3.5.1
I have installed not compatible with wordpress 3.5.1 along with your template and images are not showing on my home page as instructed to. I hope this is not a problem with your template as I love it but obviously need it to work.
