I released a new theme at ThemeFurnace today, called Elesoft which is a bold, responsive showcase theme. It has a full screen slider on the homepage for displaying products or portfolio items which is powered by the Flexslider plugin. Images are added to the slider by setting them as featured images in either blog posts or portfolio items.
Elesoft costs $49 or the developer club membership is $99 which includes all themes.
WPLift readers can use the following coupon for 50% off both for 7 days. ( ends 8th July 2012)
- Purchase Elesoft for $24.50
- Join the developer club for $49.50
- Use Coupon code: ELESOFTLAUNCH
The main feature of Elesoft is the big homepage slider which is controlled by the featured image function – you can display blog posts or portfolio items here. Once again we have built in support for FontAwesome which lets you use over 200 different icons in the theme – in the feature widgets and buttons.
As with other ThemeFurnace themes it has loads of extras such as custom widgets so you can show off your flickr photos and list your latest tweets. It has several sidebars so you can have different content for your homepage and blog pages. The theme has space for entering your twitter, facebook, RSS and dribbble usernames and will display links to them in the header with a count of how many followers you have.
Theme Options Panel
We have a simple theme options panel which is unbranded and matches the WordPress interface.

Conclusion
I’m happy with this theme – its quite a different style from what I normally produce, I can see it being usefull to companies wanting to show off their products or it could even cater to creatives and photographers.

Oli,
Nice work. New theme looks great.
Why is the Homepage having 4 tags? This is not quite good for SEO, is it?
It’s debatable – If they are used correctly for section headings, which they are then they are ok – source. Matt Cutts – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIn5qJKU8VM
The guidance is to have one h1 tag per page and the Homepage has 4 from the slider headings. Won t be a good idea to have those titles wrapped up in h2 title tags?
As I said, its debatable – as long as they are not being abused then its fine, some more reading – http://www.seomoz.org/q/multiple-h1-tags-are-ok-according-to-developer-i-have-my-doubts-please-advise
They are easily changed to H2s if required.
Hi there, looking at using this theme – looks good, one issue though on 3gs iphone when using the dropdown menu it seems to kick the page across to the left. Is this resolvable?
Thanks
