I liked the first incarnation of WordPress.org, it has a certain old charm to it. I think then it actually got worse before it got better for the version we have today.

WooThemes was one of the first commercial theme companies and started life in 2008 offering themes for $70. Their logo has stayed basically the same and their site has become more refined over those 4 years.

Elegant Themes
Elegant Themes was another commercial theme shop which launched back in 2008 with their club membership model of just $19.95. Their site was pretty basic so its nice to see how it evolved.

ColorLabs & Company
Starting life as ColorLabs project in 2008 they offered just one premium theme – Arthemia before expanding to offer the large range they do today.

Organic Themes
Organic Themes is a slightly newer theme company and I must say I have always been a fan of their site design – each version is well designed.

StudioPress started out as a services company offering WordPress installations and customisations to businesses before it moved on to offering the Genesist framework and child themes.

Can believe Colorlabs has been in industry since 2009. Just last year I found their website, and I love some of their themes too.
Nice collection of theme providers and WordPress itself. I loved downloading on that first site.. oh yeah man! :-) One of my favorites – ThemeHybrid has made some interesting developments over time as well!
